Welcome to Marcus, Crowley & Liberatore, P.C. We were founded in 1962, when Charles Marcus opened a law office in Portsmouth, Virginia for the general practice of law, concentrating in bankruptcy practice. We operated for many years as Marcus, Santoro & Kozak, P.C.  Under the leadership of Frank Santoro, the firm became known throughout the region as a firm specializing in financial restructuring to clients throughout the United States.  Upon Mr. Santoro’s departure from the firm to become United States Bankruptcy Court Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia, the name was changed to Marcus, Crowley & Liberatore.   The firm preserved its core of insolvency professionals and remains fully capable of representing individuals and companies in negotiating, restructuring or litigating as a means of resolving financial issues.  Marcus, Crowley & Liberatore has been and continues to be the go-to specialist in the practice of Bankruptcy and Debt Restructuring law.
